The segment includes tour footage of Zynga’s headquarters (and FarmVille headquarters) in San Francisco as well as an exclusive interview by NBC’s Kate Snow with Zynga founder and CEO Mark Pincus.
Some highlights: NBC refers to Zynga games as a “powerful narcotic” that millions (150 million to be exact) are playing. Even though only about 3% of players are using real money to buy virtual goods, it’s enough money to clear 800 million in revenue for Zynga last year. Since Zynga went public back in December its success in the stock market has been questionable (depending on who you ask) as of yet stock has not closed above initial asking price.
